Southwestern Ontario’s Passenger Rail and Bus Service Action Plan.
With more than two thirds of all public transport in our region cut or cancelled since 2009, Southwestern Ontario faces a crisis. There is a solution: Network Southwest is a blueprint for reviving Southwestern Ontario’s public transportation system that can be implemented rapidly, using proven technologies and business models that have helped other regions to thrive.
Researched and prepared by On Track Strategies for SWOTA, its member groups, and supporting municipalities, Network Southwest is a practical plan for affordable and convenient public transportation in Southwestern Ontario.
Public forums have been held in Sarnia, St. Marys, Stratford, London, and St. Thomas to preview the report and gather public input.
The complete report was unveiled at the VIA Rail station in St. Marys on March 18, 2015.
SWOTA is grateful for financial support for this research from The McCullum Fund.
